We built Solitaire to be a simple, private escape. We collect absolutely no personal data — ever.

Section 01

Overview

🛡️ Short version: We collect nothing. The Solitaire extension runs 100% locally in your browser and never communicates with any external server.

This Privacy Policy describes how the Solitaire Chrome Extension ("the Extension", "we", "us") handles information when you use our product. We are committed to being fully transparent: this extension was built with privacy as a core principle, not an afterthought.

By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Because we collect no personal data, there is very little to agree to.

Section 02

Data We Collect

🚫
We collect zero personal data No names, emails, IP addresses, device identifiers, usage statistics, or any other personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted.

Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Personal identification information (name, email address, phone number)
  • Device information (IP address, browser fingerprint, OS version)
  • Usage data (which cards you moved, how long you played, win/loss records)
  • Location data of any kind
  • Cookies or tracking pixels
  • Any data transmitted to remote servers

The Extension operates entirely within your local browser environment. No data ever leaves your device.

Section 03

No Tracking or Analytics

The Extension contains no analytics code, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting libraries, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use:

  • Google Analytics or any equivalent service
  • Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
  • Mixpanel, Amplitude, or behavioural analytics tools
  • Sentry, Bugsnag, or error tracking services
  • Any advertising or retargeting technology

When you play Solitaire, the game runs entirely in your browser's local JavaScript environment. There are no outbound network requests made by the Extension at any time.

💡 You can verify this yourself: open Chrome DevTools → Network tab while playing, and you will see zero network requests from the Extension.

Section 04

Local Storage

The Extension may use your browser's local memory during an active game session to temporarily hold the current game state (card positions, move count, elapsed time). This information:

  • Never leaves your device — it exists only in the browser tab's memory
  • Is not persisted between sessions — closing the popup clears the game state
  • Contains no personal information — only anonymous card position data
  • Is not accessible to any other extension, website, or party

We do not use localStorage, IndexedDB, chrome.storage, or any persistent storage mechanism. Each time you open the Extension popup, a fresh game is dealt from scratch.

Section 05

Third-Party Services

The Extension itself integrates with no third-party services. It is a fully self-contained, offline application.

However, please note the following context:

  • Chrome Web Store: When you install the Extension via the Chrome Web Store, Google's own privacy policy governs that interaction. We have no control over or access to data collected by Google during the installation process.
  • This landing page: This website (which you are reading now) may use standard web analytics. The privacy policy you are reading governs the Extension specifically, not this marketing website.
  • Google Fonts: This landing page loads fonts from Google Fonts, which is subject to Google's privacy policy. The Extension itself does not load any external fonts.
Section 06

Children's Privacy

The Solitaire Extension is a general-audience card game suitable for all ages. Because we collect absolutely no personal information from anyone, there is no special risk to children's privacy.

The Extension does not:

  • Collect information from users of any age
  • Display advertising of any kind
  • Require account creation or registration
  • Enable social features or communications

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations worldwide by design — through collecting no data at all.

Section 07

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Extension's functionality or applicable law. When we do:

  • The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
  • Significant changes will be noted in the Extension's Chrome Web Store listing update notes
  • We will never introduce data collection practices without clearly disclosing them here first

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Extension after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

📌 Our core commitment will never change: we will not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
